Best game streaming services for mac. It also has many cognitive benefits. It can help to develop logical, deductive and reasoning skills. Gaming is a great way to pass the time.
I am having a issue with ESO and Ventrilo. ESO is preventing Ventrilo from working in the background either in game or on the loading screen. I am using push-to-talk with my mouse's wheel. Ventrilo works fine from the desktop. Ventrilo works fine with any other program on top of it i.e: Firefox, VLC Player, Blizzard's laucher and all Blizzard's games but as soon as ESO's laucher is on top or if the game is on top my microphone doesn't 'open' (The red speaker does not turn green while I'm holding the push-to-talk key). If my game and/or laucher is open but I'm either on top of the desktop or any other program the mic does 'open' and if I hold it 'open' then I alt-tab to either ESO's laucher or in the game the microphone then stays stuck in 'open' until I either close Ventrilo or I reclick my push-to-talk key from anywhere else than ESO's launcher or the game.
On a side note it might be worth mentioning that my buddy and I have the same exact PC; there is not a single difference between specs and parts included configuration, drivers and settings (I built both) and his damn Ventrilo is working fine plus he is able to fire up the *** launcher without having to run it in administrator mode.. which I cannot.
I been having a lot of issues with this game since it's been out and I'm pretty fed up so please don't deflect this problem on possible driver problems or blaming Ventrilo.

Ventrilo Push To Talk Not Working In Game Mac And Cheese
May 08, 2007 This briefly shows you how to set up ventrilo to use the 'Push-to-talk' function. Very simple, very easy. NOTE here is a short description on how to use ventrilo WITHOUT push to talk. Jan 16, 2012 How to Talk. Ventrilo uses a push-to-talk key by default. Push to talk allows many people to be in the same channel at the same time — people just press the key when they want to talk, so you don’t always hear background noise from everyone in the channel. Ventrilo supports two different transmission styles: 1) The first and default mode is called 'Voice Activation'. In this mode the program will monitor your sound cards selected input device and when the signal strength reaches a certain level the program will start transmitting. 2) The second mode is called 'Push-to-Talk' or PTT for short. Mac Specific: Modified SRV Record lookup to be as fast as the Windows client. Fixed some borders not displaying correctly when scaling up and down. Fixed some rich-edit style windows not resetting their content correctly. Fixed issue of window not minimizing on OSX 10.13 or newer. Problem did not exist on OSX 10.12 or older. Voice activation does work, but not push to talk. I can't just use Voice activation because I also need to be able to talk in-game. I am running Windows Vista, and I have a basic Realtek Audio sound card.

Ok first download Crossover 6.0 (you are going to have to pay for it in 60 days)
http://www.codeweavers.com/products/cxmac/
now you are going to want to make a bottle call it vent,
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture2.png
now we are going to have to make it the default bottle (this is in the advanced tab)
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture4.png
Now comes the fun part, we are going to have to download a file called msgsm32.acm this can be found here: http://www.soundcard-drivers.com/drivers/7/7019.htm
you are going to need to follow the directions and either make an account w/ these guys or look at about 5-7 ads that you can just cycle through before downloading
when you have that file you need to open up your bottle page again, and select Open C: Drive in Folder
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture4.png
and go to windowssystem32 where you will put msgsm32.acm
here are the steps in pictures:

http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture7.png
>
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture6.png
alright you are almost done
we now need to tell crossover where you can find this codec so go back one to windows
and click on system.ini (open it in text edit)
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture8.png
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture9.png
you are going to replace what it says with this:
[mci]
MPEGVideo=mciqtz.drv
MPEGVideo2=mciqtz.drv
avivideo=mciavi32.dll
cdaudio=mcicda.dll
sequencer=mciseq.dll
vcr=mcivisca.drv
; videodisc=mcipionr.drv
waveaudio=mciwave.dll
[drivers32]
MSACM.imaadpcm=imaadp32.acm
MSACM.msadpcm=msadp32.acm
MSACM.msg711=msg711.acm
MSACM.winemp3=winemp3.acm
MSACM.msgsm610=C:windowssystem32msgsm32.acm
vidc.MRLE=msrle32.dll
vidc.MSVC=msvidc32.dll
vidc.CVID=iccvid.dll
; vidc.IV50=ir50_32.dll
; vidc.IV31=ir32_32.dll
; vidc.IV32=ir32_32.dll
http://i52.photobucket.com/albums/g38/willrpike/Picture10.png
now go and download the windows copy of ventrilo run it in crossover, and try it
you should now have a working ventrilo that can get onto any server using speex codec or gsm 6.10
